Sweepery is defining the market for in-site lead capture. Director of Engineering


POSITION OVERVIEW

Scalability: Our platform will need to serve hundreds of millions of requests per day. We need to architect and implement a distributed solution that allows for scalability, redundancy, low latency, and high availability.

Optimization and Analysis: Our technology will be directly observing billions of dollars worth of consumer transactions, and needs to capture and utilize all available data to optimize offer delivery in real-time on a unique visitor basis.

Reporting: It is critical that we effectively represent large, complex datasets to customers as specific, clear, and actionable insights into our value creation from a per-transaction to long-term basis.

Integration: Our system needs to work seamlessly with customer backend systems, email service providers, third party data providers, and other API services.

Software Practices: We embrace agile development and the candidate needs to champion best practices to define iterations and ensure that releases are completed on time and with consistent quality.

›› You've mentored and led a team of developers.
›› 10+ years software development experience.
›› 5+ years with LAMP-based high-traffic, low-latency platforms.
›› 5+ years experience designing and implementing TB+ database systems.
›› Solid operational background.
›› You have been a founding or early employee, and were critical to that company's long-term development and success.

Other ideal skills include:

›› Experience architecting ad serving and optimization technologies.
›› JavaScript expertise with particular emphasis on knowledge of DOM.
›› You've built cloud computing based solutions.
›› Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to interact with and learn from customers.


COMPENSATION

Salary TBD depending on experience. Stock grant will be commensurate with our early stage.
